Cockpit Seeker

FCL 1.200/1.028

Our english exam!
The 1.200 being the 1st time we take it, the 1.028 being the name of our following revalidations (in the latest, you don't have to take the 'get it or fail' Multiple Choice Questions).

In order comes:

  • the listening
  • the fictious flight (only part that we will not cover here)
  • the emergency call

note: for the remaining part of the exam you can refer to already existing websites* that pretty much cover it all:
_http://fcl1200english.com/ (special mention to this website)

_http://feedback-fcl1200.com
_http://contrails.free.fr/fcl.php

Of course this section won't be of much use for those of you that got the level 6 (congrats!), but for the rest of us, here can be found extensive training examples of what probably are the most 'feared' exercises.

Best of luck to us all!

  1. The pronunciation section is now active. It can be accessed from the main page.
There is a record and playback facility which is demonstrated in one of the links. More exercises are coming soon. Can users give feedback to admin@fcl1200english.com. Next to come is a reading section with tips on answering MCQs and sample MCQ tests.

Feedback on the other sections would be nice before i add to and edit them…..Not one comment to admin@fcl1200english.com yet!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Enroute 2 section now added. Includes record and playback (see how to use rec and playback section) and movies showing progress. We see here the lack of ATC pilot interaction during the enroute phase with basic radio frequency changes as we exit and enter control areas. A nice short spacing change of heading included. Approach section will be up in the next few days. I will use Paris CDG rwy 27L seeing as most users are from the great French republic.

    • Roger that! I like the fact that you keep developing your website with such adds… and that it remains free of access and loginless.

I plan on strengthening your website’s visibility here by making my sidebar dynamic, adding FCL1.200 items in it (for easier navigation on cockpitseeker) and adding a banner of your website for those that would like to benefit from other quality resources like yours.

Can’t tell when that’s going to happen but that’s in the pipes.

  3. CDG 27L approach now uploaded.
    see
    http://fcl1200english.com/cdg%20approach1.html .

Features an option to listen with text for ATC instruction or not-(click text button for text-default is no text help). Also a new “say again” button to listen to the ATC instruction again. Record and playback feature as usual with model call back also here as usual.

For language aquisition results try to use the text button as little as possible with constant use of the rec and playback to match the model reply…….
